Chasing Dreams & Provenmille
This photo was taken in 2016 when I started planting the seeds for what would be Provenmille. I was a part-time maker at that time (I still am) and a full-time dreamer at the same time. Having moved countries (from the Philippines to Japan) at the time, I was taking a break from running Joujoux Playthings & Teachables, my handmade toys and learning resources side-hustle, until I got settled in a new place.
However, my head was brimming with ideas and plans that go beyond what Joujoux offered. Forever the maker, I was also learning how to sew clothes and make my own natural soaps. Making things by hand has made me realize the value in purposeful creating and if I was going to keep making, I knew that I wanted to continue experiencing the thrill of handmade every time I do so. Prior to that, I was also blogging as Little Miss Pinay Crafter, documenting all my makes and crafty adventures.
And so I created Provenmille as a platform to house all my handmade creations and dreams. Apart from championing handmade, I also yearned for it to be an avenue for creativity and inspiration. I dream of showing everyone that handmade goes beyond crude and plain (although they are part of the charm) and that homespun goodness can be unique and elevated. In this platform, I am also emerging from a blogging hiatus because I want to tell intentional stories behind every handmade creation.
Handmade.
Kindness.
Creativity.
Inspiration.
Slow.
These are the hallmarks of Provenmille. More than an entrepreneurial pursuit, my vision for Provenmille is to be a source of beautiful handmade works of art and be a well of inspiring stories and creative living. If you are one to join me on this artful journey, let us explore crafty and passionate endeavors together.
